"TechFest" Championship Program launched by Tata Motors Ltd.-CVBU in year 2012-13 is an initiative for recognising the knowledge & skills of its Technicians across all TML authorised workshops. The program for the second year has received an overwhelming response from Channel Partners with a participation of around 250000 Technicians.
"TechFest" Championship launched in collaboration with Shell Lubricants shall from this year be extended to International level. The championship till National level had five levels of evaluation - Workshop level, Sub-zonal level, Area office level, Regional level and National level.
Each level of TechFest Championship levels involved test having a combination of theory, practical & interview on topics such as Product knowledge, Product performance, troubleshooting, oil specifications along with drain interval, etc.
TechFest National level Award Ceremony was held on 4th April 2014 at Taj Mahal Palace; Mumbai.. The function was graced by the presence of Senior dignitaries from Tata Motors Ltd & Shell Lubricants, our Channel partners & National level top 20 Technicians.
Top 5 National Technicians were felicitated by Mr. Ravindra Pisharody; Executive Director (Commercial Vehicles), Mr. Sanjeev Garg; Global Head (Customer Care-CVBU), Ms. Mansi Tripathy, VP Marketing - Shell. & Mr. Saibal Choudhury, Global Account Manager-Shell.
TechFest National level Winner title is won by Mr. Anupam Kumar from TSS, Delhi. He was felicitated by Mr. Ravindra Pisharody; Executive Director (Commercial Vehicles), Mr. Sanjeev Garg; Global Head (Customer Care-CVBU), Ms. Mansi Tripathy, VP Marketing - Shell. & Mr. Saibal Choudhury, Global Account Manager-Shell. He was awarded by Shield, certificate and a cash award of Rs. 51000/- (Rs. Fifty One Thousand only).
Runner up
- The 1st Runner up position is secured by Mr. Javed N Pathan from Bafana Automotive, Pune. He received a cash award of Rs.31,000/- (Rs. Thirty One Thousand), Shield & Certificate.
- The 2nd Runner-up position is secured by Mr. Gurjeet Singh from T T Automobiles, Sirhind, Chandigarh. He received a cash award of Rs.21,000/- (Rs. Twenty One Thousand), Shield and certificate.
- The 3rd Runner up position is secured by Mr. Krishna Holla from Arvind Motors Mangalore. He received a cash award of Rs. 11,000/- (Rs. Eleven Thousand), Shield & Certificate.
- The 4th Runner-up position is secured by Mr. Randhir Vishwakarma from Shivam Motors, Ranchi. He received a cash award of Rs. 11,000/- (Rs. Eleven Thousand), Shield and certificate.
Top 10 National level Technicians shall compete at International level. The International level scheduled to be held in Dubai shall have technicians participating from Middle East, SAARC, Africa and Russia.
